Crooked Kingdom: Summary, Review, Analysis

🦋“Crooked Kingdom” by leigh Bardugo, which is the sequel to six of crows is nothing short of mindblowing. It continues the plot from where it was left off in part 1 and grows into something much bigger and complex than what it was at its start. Brilliantly written characters, genius dialogues and it managed to completely keep me hooked from the moment I flipped the first page.

It sidetracks away from the mainstream subplots and that completely caught me off guard, pleasantly surprised if I must. Leigh Bardugo wrote the novel with multiple perspectives and I believe that just adds much more weight to characters and naturally compels the reader to root for them. Themes include Family, Revenge, Betrayal, Trauma and so much more.

The main focus of the entire novel is held by a 17 year old known as Kaz Brekker,a criminal mastermind. Reading(more like living?) the process from saving your nemesis to torture him better than hell could, to stripping them of their pride, respect, arrogance and painting them with fear, which was perfectly potrayed is a mind-chilling yet an thrilling experience. I swear, READ THIS NOVEL, PEOPLE 🦋
